OVERVIEW:
The enzyme products and process for the manufacture of the enzyme
products described in the following are proprietary to K. Kieth Richardson M.D.
Dr. Richardson has worked with thousands of sample materials that
have been provided to him and RichLabs by clients, associates, interested
parties and prospective clients. In order to formulate the most effective enzyme
solutions for the difficult problems that the mining, petroleum production and
refining, chemical refining and the environmental remediation industries face
every day. Dr. Richardson has developed many different formulations for a
variety of agricultural, environmental remediation, and medical/ veterinary,
applications. The agricultural process has been on the market for 26 years+ and
is used by organic gardeners and farmers world-wide. The agricultural process was
marketed by Nitron Industries of Fayetteville, Arkansas. On-going testing in the laboratory and in the field
utilizing pilot plants has provided results that expose
new ways to use enzymes and combinations of enzymes to improve or replace
current industry techniques for the removal and the recovery of contaminates or
undesirable constituents of solids such as soil contaminated with hazardous or
toxic substances including NORMS, liquids such as petroleum that have been
contaminated with solids or other undesirables such as sulfur and contaminated
gases produced by industry.
ENZYMES/PROTEINS:
Natural enzymes are produced by every living organism. The more complex the
organism, the more extensive the enzyme network produced by the organism. This
is necessary in order to accommodate the process or processes that the organism
needs to maintain life. One example of this is the deoxygenase enzymes that an
animal produces to assimilate oxygen into it's bloodstream from the air that it
breathes. An incredible amount of different enzymes are required for the human
digestive process. Dr. Richardson's enzyme formulations are manufactured in a
fermentation process inoculated with a proprietary culture. The enzymes produced
in his process are synthesized enzymes. They differ from naturally produced
enzymes. The enzymes produced are totally non-toxic. The enzymes are produced in
a liquid concentrate form, then diluted to the proper operating strength.
Enzymes are produced in the fermentation process. By utilizing hybridization,
various inductive and inhibitive methods, the enzymes produced by the culture
are tailored to fit the job at hand. The process is designed to maximize the
levels of the desired enzyme(s). The produced enzymes are then stabilized, by
one of Dr. Richardson's proprietary methods, to ensure an adequate shelf life.
As some proteins have an average half-life of two days, some enzymes have a
half-life of less than one-second, unless they are properly stabilized. The
proper manufacturing procedures, quality control \ assurance measures, and most
importantly the correct formulations, are necessary in order to produce the
appropriate enzyme solution.
GENERAL OPERATING CONSIDERATIONS:
The enzyme solutions are bio-catalytic in that they can react upon substrates
without being' reacted upon themselves. For this reason, the enzyme solution can
be used and then recycled through the treatment process. The aqueous solution is
created by the addition of a prescribed amount of the produced enzyme
formulation concentrate to an amount of water. Some solutions require an amount
of templating additive, to condition the aqueous solution, prior to the
introduction of the material to be treated. The amount of enzyme concentrate
required in most applications is from 0.3% to 3% of the volume of the water.
There are a few conditions that must be met in order to ensure the proper and
continued operation of enzyme upon the introduction of the material to be
treated or remediated to the aqueous solution and treatment process. One
consideration is that the solution pH be maintained between 4 and 8.5. The
operating temperature range is from 45 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The
optimum ranges for temperature and ph are determined on a case by case basis.
SUMMARY:
The unique considerations to each application are determined by testing the
actual material to be treated. We welcome the opportunity to help you tackle
your most difficult remediation or treatment problems and provide you with a
cost effective and environmentally friendly remediation treatment technique.
